David McCrae

David McCrae teaches companies and organisations passionate about social change how to find their voice, tell their story, and share their message.

When David lost his dad to cancer at age 22, he realised that he was not making the most of his life, and serving others to his full potential. David dedicated himself to public speaking, knowing that he could make the most of his abilities and impact the largest number of people through this medium.

David believes that every person is a great storyteller, they just need to learn the tools and techniques to bring their speeches to life.

David has helped clients in nineteen countries become great storytellers, sharing their speeches within organisations such as NHS, HMRC, Sky News, HM Prison Service, Booking.com and The King’s Trust.

David’s storytelling and public speaking skills have enabled him to become the author of four #1 Amazon bestselling books in three different categories, win 11 national public speaking competitions as well as TEDx Coach. He has also spoken for the BBC, Aviva, Bank of Scotland, Virgin Money, Bookboon, and the Universities of Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Strathclyde.

When you hire David, you are going to experience vivid storytelling, a conversational tone, and the less than occasional dad joke (apologies in advance).

In his spare time, David is one of the maniacs attempting to climb all 282 Scottish Munros (Mountains above 3000ft/914m). With less than one hundred left, he’s going to need to find another hobby soon. He is also an avid Star Wars fan, a long suffering Scottish Rugby fan, and his wife and cat are not fans of his jokes.
